On April 19, 2025, as the first rays of sunlight pierced the horizon over New Zealand, they illuminated every corner of the land. After days of rain and a night of wild wind and storms, the Auckland sky emerged even clearer. The long-lost blue sky, white clouds, and warm sunshine brought a light-hearted joy to everyone.
At this time, the third annual Daren Culture Event, held at Auckland’s Mt Eden War Memorial Hall, was in full swing, brimming with vibrant and diverse expressions of life. Unlike in previous years, this year’s highlight was the in-person attendance of Mr. Zheng LIU, founder of Daren, who publicly announced the new goals of Daren for the first time, and engaged directly in conversations with attendees — making this the brightest highlight of this festival.
At 11:11 am, the Daren Founder’s Session officially began. Mr. Zheng LIU’s announcement of Daren’s new goals stirred great anticipation among the guests. With solemnity, Mr. Liu proclaimed:
“After 18 years of effort, Daren has finally been able to establish brand-new goals that bring greater humanity, spirituality and vitality to society!” Mr. Zheng LIU reflected on the journey that began in 2007, an 18-year exploration of the path toward becoming great humans. In the next 18 years, Daren will be dedicated to helping every individual in society walk this path, thereby uplifting all sectors of society to become great humans as a whole. The year 2025 marks a critical transition point from past to future. Mr. Liu clearly outlined the new goals of Daren, the method and the overall steps to achieve them, and depicted a vivid vision of a future Daren society — a brand-new society where everything is for humanity. He also stated that continuous manifestations of Daren are to come, and invited everyone to stay tuned with anticipation.
During the interactive dialogue session with attendees, Mr. Liu responded to questions on a variety of topics, including the development of spiritual power and health promotion through Daren, the relationship between Daren and religion, ways to participate in Daren, and more. The dialogue inspired deep thought, curiosity, and anticipation. The founder’s presence and open conversation with society marked a major milestone in the development of Daren cultural endeavor. The announcement of Daren’s new goals was uplifting and is bound to ignite a wave of conversation through which Daren culture continuously engages with society.
This year’s Daren Culture Event was filled with lively expressions of humanity and a rich festive atmosphere. Dozens of Māori youths from Auckland opened the event with powerful traditional songs and dances, highlighting the fusion of Eastern and Western elements within Daren culture. As attendees entered the venue, they encountered a variety of multicultural booths — from commercial product displays to exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage, food stalls, and artistic expressions in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. Performances from local art groups followed in an orderly flow. With a giant LED screen as backdrop, the stage dazzled, and the audience was fully engaged, sparing no seat. Through song, dance, instrumental performance and other artistic expressions, a vivid and beautiful portrayal of human life unfolded before all.
Over the five-hour celebration, the event featured not only the Founder’s Session but also three hours of captivating art performances and a multicultural showcase. One of the most unique aspects was the Gubai Ceremony— providing a cultural experience distinct to Daren. This ceremony helps participants express remembrance and reverence for their loved ones through a serene and dignified ritual held in a sacred palace, embodying solemn humanity. The Daren Gubai Ceremony represents an epitope of a new cultural era, where people witness human nature and return to “Human Supremacy”. This is a cultural event unique to Daren and a reflection of the beauty of the future human world.
